Tally was started in India 1986. And the name of the company that started it was (Peutronics financial accountant company). This is an accounting or business management software. The founders of this company were Shyam Sunder Goinka and his son Bharat Goinka. Its headquarters is located in Bangalore. It is a matter of great pride for us Indians that this software was developed in India and now tally software is being used in 100 + countries.
The first version of Tally was launched in 1988. Tally 4.5
The 2nd version of Tally was launched in 1990 and so on with time. Along with this, tally kept developing.
In the year 1999 (Peutronics Financial Accountant) the name of the company was changed to tally solution. After some time, on 19 November 2020, a new version of tally was launched which is known as Tally Prime. The main objective of launching Tally Prime is simplicity.
